The Origin story
UBU began with a classic parent frustration: trying to find a decent sunhat. Kids’ accessories shouldn’t have to choose between style and practicality. They deserve better.
We set out to make pieces that feel elevated, expressive and thoughtfully designed — for tots, tweens, teens, and the grown-ups who love to ‘borrow’ their hats.
Craftsmanship, not crafternoons
With backgrounds in business, branding and design, UBU was never just a hobby. Every accessory is deliberate — considered, consistent and created to last.
But turning ideas into physical products meant rolling up our sleeves and learning the craft inside out — brim structure, UV durability, stitching tension, fabric movement. Every element matters.
